DLP, or digital light processing, originally came from Texas Instruments. The way it works is that it uses millions of tiny mirrors to project two images. It can do two because a 3d ready projector can process the images that quickly. The two images are actually a little offset, which is what gives them that 3 dimensional feel. The glasses combine the two images to become one 3 dimensional image.
There are all kinds of projectors that you should check out. They come in many different sizes, from very portable, so you can take it wherever you might need to give a presentation, to fixed models that you permanently install.
